Do-It-Yourself T-Shirt Iron-Ons

A Tribute to Freaks and Geeks

Samm Levine, Neal Schweiber, Freaks and Geeks Shirts Iron-ons

T-Shirt Iron-Ons

T-Shirt Iron-Ons......truly a lost art form.  In 1980, for a mere 99 cents you could send away for an iron-on transfer of Bo and Luke Duke in front of the General Lee, Charlie's Angels, Kristy McNichol or the guys from CHiPS.  And what about those great catch-phrases like "Dyn-O-Mite!", "Keep On Truckin", and "Foxy Lady"?

Now you can make your own Freaks and Geeks Iron-On T-Shirts.  Download the art files on this page. The files are in PDF format and can be opened with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program, or Photoshop.  Print them out on an inkjet paper using special t-shirt iron-on paper, then transfer them to a shirt with an iron.

"Do you want to be a STUD, or do you want to be a SUPERSTUD?"

McKinley P.E. shirt

(Pocket logo size)  As seen in "The Diary".  Many of the indignities suffered by the geeks take place in their Physical Education class.  This is a replica of the McKinley P.E. shirt.  For true authenticity, use a shirt that is slightly off-white with green elastic around the collar and at the end of the shirt sleeves.

Dimension

(Front - 2 logo variations on same sheet)

As seen in "I'm with the Band".  Nick auditions for the "hottest band in Detroit". The Dimension logo appears on the bass drum, a guitar case and the shirts of the roadie and groupie.

The logo appears as white on black in the episode, but it isn't possible to have white as a color on an iron-on.    This art is reversed so it is black on white.  - If you have access to a silk-screener, you could use this art to print white ink on a black shirt for a true replica.

[ FAQ - Iron-On T-Shirt ]

Instructions for Creating an Iron On:

Now you can create your own t-shirts and pay homage to the legendary television show "Freaks and Geeks".  Here's what to do:

(1) Choose your design from the list below by clicking on the download link.  Save the PDF file to your computer.

(2) Open the PDF file using Adobe Acrobat Reader (available for free from Adobe).  You will notice the image is reversed.

(3) Insert a sheet of "Iron-On Transfer" paper into your computer's inkjet printer.  This is a special type of paper that is available at most office supply stores. Only use the brand of paper that matches the brand of your inkjet printer. HP Iron-On Transfer paper in an HP printer....Epson in an Epson.  You wouldn't think this is a big deal but it is.

(4)  Carefully follow the instructions in the paper pack for using an iron to make the transfer to a white or light-colored shirt.  It is very imporrtant to use the recommended temperature settings.

(5) Realize that by making  your own Freaks and Geeks t-shirt that you have become a SUPERSTUD!
